Domestic price rose up to $110 per t (FCA), the company’s representative informs. 4Q2009 price for GZh-graded (according to Russian nomenclature) coking coal totaled 2.7 thousand roubles per t. Mechel group refused to comment, as well as MMK (Magnitogorsk), while NLMK (Lipetsk) admits their negotiations are still under way.

Belon JS raised price for Zh-graded coking coal up to $125 per t while Mechel exports Yakutugol’s coal to Asian markets for $205 per t (FOB) and still negotiates domestic price in $110–120 per t range (FCA Kuzbass), according to Uralsib analysts.

Meanwhile new Raspadskaya prices are below expectations, Uralsib analysts add, compared to current Australian prices. Discounted for transportation and quality, the latter correspond rather to $130–120 (FCA Kuzbass).
