Timchenko likely to buy Murmansk Seaport

Timchenko’s holding plans to complete the deal by the end of 1Q2011, Reuters informs with reference to anonymous sources in the industry and quoting $250 m as the deal price.

Gunvor denies the existence of a contract and gives no comments on alleged negotiations. However, RBK Daily’s source in Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) says Gunvor has applied to buy the seaport.

Murmansk Seaport is one of the principal Russian coal seaports featuring 17 loading berths stretching for three km and capable of lading Panamax-type ships with up to 80-thousand-t capacity.
