Yuzhnyy Kuzbass shows profitability

In 2010 Mechel made 10.82 bn roubles of net profit (against 1.122 bn roubles of net loss in 2009) through the increased sales and bills of exchange interest.

4Q2010 net profit amounted to 3.259 bn roubles (against 3.634 bn roubles in 3Q2009).

In 2010, Yuzhnyy Kuzbass assets grew by 10.156 bn roubles (12.8 per cent) against 89.593 bn roubles in 2009.
