Annual 2009 coke output amounted to 17.38 m t (–11.2 per cent against 2008), including c 17 m t produced from domestic raw coal.
Starovoyt predicts the output of c 17 m t and importation of 5 to 5.5 m t of concentrated coking coal in 2010. Last year, 9 m t of coal were imported.
