March 11, 10:20 a.m. (local time) a coke gasmain at Coke Plant 2 exploded in the course of a regular steamout, killing a workwoman of 46 and injuring 3 more people. The gasmain and part of its walling were destroyed.
The repairs would take c 2 weeks, lowering daily output of metallurgy coke by 900 t. Regardless of the accident, demand for the coke from ChMK blast-furnace plant would be met in full.
