The holding has been suspected of monopolistic overpricing. Administrative investigation initiated with Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has to be completed in a month, Igor Artemyyev (FAS, director) reported to Vladimir Putin (Russia, PM).
The entire products chain, from raw ore to pellets, coking coal, and to steel and rolled metal will come under the investigation.
Evraz Group informs RIA Novosti agency that they have yet not received any formal explanations from FAS. The decision to investigate might have resulted from Uralvagonzavod’s complaint filed two months back.
