In compliance with the program of reforms in economy, Ukraine intends to privatize 100 per cent of potentially profitable coal enterprises by 2014. Simultaneously it plans to cut subsidies to
governmental mines by 80 per cent and to increase social rehabilitation subsidies for miners. Total governmental expenses on industry support shall not be exceeding 2009 level.
Also, Ukraine intends to free the coal products market including lifting preferences for Ugol’ Ukrayiny, the company ceasing to exist after its mines are divided into profitable and awaiting closing down.
