Evraz holding, Severstal’, NLMK (Lipetsk) and NLMK’s Stoylenks GOK entered auction bids for 20-years development license of Tsentral’nyy parcel (Ulug-Khemsk basin, Republic of Tuva) with 638 m t

of coal reserves (C1 and C2 categories of Zh-graded coal, according to Russian classification). The bidders are to submit their development projects until Aug 7, the winner to be determined on Sep 21, Elena Shabalinskaya (Tuva regional mining agency, head) informs.

Russia has been always suffering Zh-graded coal shortage aggravated by the Raspadskaya disaster, Dmitry Smolin (Uralsib, analyst).
