By the end of 2011, construction of exploring and producing mine, Bystryanskaya 1–2 (Rostov Region, Tatsinsk District) with 46+ m t of balance reserves should be completed. This is the only large deposit of coking coal in Southern Russia.
Circa 3.6 bn roubles are to be invested, estimated annual capacity of the mine totaling 750 thousand t of mined rock. The mine should create 1200 jobs.
By the end of 2009, Sberbank’s S.-Western Bank announced a 7-year $96 m credit to finance the construction and purchasing of machinery for the project.
