The sales amounted to 8.8 bn roubles, net profit — 1.7 bn roubles (against 932 m roubles of losses in 2009), EBITDA — 3.699 bn roubles, EBITDA profitability — 42 per cent, the corporate press release announces.
By the end of the 1st halfyear of 2010, investments exceeded 2 bn roubles, and were directed mostly towards purchasing mining equipment and modernizing as well as to obtaining permit to exploit Nikitinskiy parcel.
Coal output amounted to 2.278 m t. About 2.832 m t of coking coal was processed at Belovskaya concentrating plant (+7.2 per cent against planned). Listvyazhnaya concentrator processed 2.045 m t of steam coal, including 1.732 m t of self-produced output.
Belon JS, established in 1991, produces coking and steam coal, and embraces Chertinskaya Koksovaya, Kostromovskaya, Listvyazhnaya and Chertinskaya Yuzhnaya mines (all Kemerovo Region). Belon meets 36 per cent of coal demands by MMK (Magnitogorsk), owning 41.3 per cent of Belon stock and planning to widen its share to 70 per cent.
