Kemerovo regional court of arbitration turned down the civil action by Transmetkoks (controlled by Sibuglemet president, Anatoliy Skurov) against Shakhta Polosukhinskaya to invalidate the resolution on the follow-on offering that would diminish Transmetkoks’ prospective share of Polosukhinskaya stock.
Meanwhile, the deal to buy Polosukhinskaya stock has been disputed by its current co-owner, Alexander Shchukin (another co-owner of Sibuglemet).
Shakhta Polosukhinskaya that used to produce 3+ m t of Zh- and G-graded coking coal (in Russian nomenclature) annually before the crisis now brought its output down to 2.77 m t. In 2007, Universitet investment group assessed its capitalization at $140 m.
