According to preliminary figures, the MMK OAO investments in 2010 amounted to $1.2 bn, the Group total investments reaching $2.1 bn — a historic maximum.
In 2010, the Group continued to implement the investment projects targeted to raise products quality and to cut production costs.
Belon Coal Company that is one of the Group’s principal raw-material enterprises, steps up production, winning the auction for Nikitinskiy parcel in June 2010. The parcel`s reserves amount to 132 m t of Zh-graded coal (by Russian classification). Belon’s deliveries already provide for 40 per cent of MMK’s total demand in coking coal concentrate.
