A complaint against SUEK, Rossiyskiy Ugol’ and Stroyservis is under investigation. It is the first case in Russia when proved restrictive practices can lead to imprisonment sentences for the accused.
The case is investigated by the Ministry of the Interior. The Federal antimonopoly service (FAS) found proof of anti-trust laws violation. According to FAS, the above mentioned companies have agreed to restrict the competition at the steam coal market by price fixing.
