14.01.2011 Raspadskaya decreases coal output down to 7.2 m t


The 2010 production by leading coking coal producers decreased by 32 per cent against 2009, the corporate release holds. The company delivered 5.35 m t of coal concentrate (–31 per cent).

The decrease was caused by May, 2010 disaster at Raspadskaya mine leading to suspension of operations, the release explains.

Weight-average sale price of coal concentrate (FCA Mezhdurechensk) is set at 3.437 thousand roubles per t (against 1.890 thousand roubles per t in 2009), the company continuing negotiations on 1Q2011 prices.
