26.01.2012 Japan may cut annual steel production by 2 to 3 m t


The announcement was made by Eiji Hayashida (Japan Iron and Steel Federation, chairman).

In 2011, Japanese steel output totaled 107.6 m t (–1.8 per cent against 2011). Whatever the decline, the country is to remain second biggest steel maker of the world.
