In its mining department, despite the suspension of operations at two mines, the run-of-mine coal production rose by 7 per cent up to 6.413 m t against 1Q2011, sales of coking coal
concentrate—by 14 per cent up to 3.181 m t, of anthracite—by 26 per cent up to 614 thousand t, of PCI coals—by 256 per cent up to 503 thousand t. Sales of steam coal dropped by 19 per cent down to 355 thousand t.
In metallurgy department, both output and sales showed a steady growth, sales of rolled section steel rising by 12 per cent up to 937 thousand t, of rolled sheet—by 14 per cent up to 335 thousand t.
